The weekly monitoring of the WSPR (Weak Signal Propagation Reporter) network in Central America reflects the activity of automated beacons and local listening stations (RX). This tool evaluates propagation conditions in HF and MF bands in real time to and from the region. 
Below is the landscape of connectivity and behavior by country, consolidated from historical and interactive data extracted from global platforms such as WSPRnet and analysis tools such as WSPR Live. 
🇵🇦 Panama (HP)

    State of activity: It is the most active logistics and telecommunications center in the region for WSPR traffic.
    Key stations: Highlights the official radio beacon maintained by the Panama Canal Amateur Radio Association (LPRA) and the nodes of the C4FM Panama Digital Group. 
    Key bands: Frequent operation in 20m (14 MHz) and 40m (7 MHz). 
    Weekly Performance: Two-way robust connectivity with North America (USA) U.S. and Canada) as with Western European transatlantic stations, continuously operating as a report repeater for extremely weak signals (-20 to -28 dB SNR). 

🇨🇷 Costa Rica (IT)

    Activity status: Moderate-high activity, driven by fixed base station operators in San José and peripheral provinces.
    Key bands: 20m, 40m and night sporadic openings in 80m.
    Weekly Performance: Excellent reporting performance to the Northern Hemisphere. Propagation alerts reveal that IT stations serve as a critical bridge to assess the grayline at sunrise and sunset, facilitating low-power contacts with stations in South America and the Caribbean basin. 

🇬🇹 Guatemala (TG)

    Activity status: Intermittent activity focused mainly on periodic transmission (TX) rather than permanent monitoring receiving stations.
    Key bands: Predominance of the 40m band for regional and inter-American coverage.
    Weekly Performance: Reported spots confirm stable links with the southern United States (Texas, Florida) and Mexico, demonstrating the effectiveness of compact or vertical long-wire antennas optimized for low power. 

🇭🇳 Honduras (HR) and 🇸🇻 El Salvador (YS)

    Activity status: Low and variable activity. The presence of stable WSPR nodes in these countries depends on one-off expeditions or a small number of local enthusiastic QRP (low power) operators. 
    Key bands: Mainly 20m during the hours of the day.
    Weekly Performance: Weekly registration shows occasional receptions captured by automated remote receivers (SDRs) in the United States. Its footprint is useful for technical analysis of local space weather conditions and the state of the Central American ionosphere. 

🇳🇮 Nicaragua (YN) and 🇧🇿 Belize (V3)

    Activity status: Very low or no activity permanently.
    Weekly performance: They rarely register beacons operating continuously. Most of the weekly historical data in these territories occur thanks to mobile activation operations or foreign radio amateurs in holiday periods (DX-peditions).

📊 General Summary of Propagation of the Region
Over the past week, the behavior of WSPR signals on the isthmus has been strongly influenced by seasonal conditions and the current solar cycle: 

    High bands (10m - 15m): Intermittent openings and very dependent on solar flow peaks during noon.
    Medium bands (20m): The most stable channel for the regionâ€Ös intercontinental connectivity, operating optimally from mid-morning until dusk.
    Low bands (40m - 80m): High levels of static noise due to the seasonal local tropical storms in the Caribbean; however, they maintain excellent regional night propagation at close and medium distance.
