Beach1 is a photo of Druridge Bay Beach, situated near Widdrington Village,
coated between Amble in the north and Creswell in the south, to the north of
ewcastle on Tyne on the North Sea in Northumberland, England. During WW2
defences were constructed around the bay as part of the anti-invasion
preparations, scaffolding barriers, anti-tank blocks, pillboxes and minefields.
Error correction on line 2: 'coated' should read 'located'.
The beach is long and wide, with shallow water at high tide, ideally safe for .
paddling.
