a minimum requirement of 8 wpm and not exceeding 12 wpm. The idea is to m
ake as many contacts as you can within a 7 day calendar period, the goal
is to log all contacts on the RaDAR Sport Log, proudly developed by Edd
ie, ZS6BNE www.radarops.co.za/zsportal. You will need a login PIN, whi

CW must be sent using any paddle or any straight key, nothing more than

THE WSJT-X DEVELOPMENT TEAM ANNOUNCE THE AVAILABILITY OF WSJT-X VERSION 2.
5.1
This release mainly contains improvements and repairs defects related to Q

ure for microwave aircraft scatter, as well as repairs for bugs detected
since the general availability release of version 2.5.0. A complete listi
ng of changes is available in the Release Notes. Links to WSJT-X 2.5.1 ins
tallation packages for Windows, Linux, and Mac are available.

THE RUSSIAN-UKRAINIAN "RADIO WAR" ON AND AROUND 7 055 KHZ CONTINUES
That was the word from the International Amateur Radio Union Region 1 Moni
toring System (IARUMS). IARUMS Region 1 Coordinator Peter Jost, HB9CET
, reports in the IARUMS September newsletter that the on-the-air conflic
t "has been bothering us to an unbearable extent for a very long time and
is still continuing." Earlier this year, IARUMS reported that the Russi
an-Ukrainian radio war had escalated. "In June, they used more frequenci
es than before, affecting our bands very hard." Jost recounted. "It is a
great annoyance and a big shame." Jost has pointed out that the IARU Moni
toring System has little opportunity to stop the on-the-air conflict. "Onl
y national authorities can hopefully do something against international co
mplaints," he said. "It is very important and very helpful that many oth
er [IARU] member societies also observe these frequencies and make compla
ints to their regulators." The long-standing conflict has also affected 7
050 and 7 060 kHz.

ul reguleerders indien." Die langdurige konflik het ook 7 050 en 7 060 kHz
geraak.
