It would 'appear' recompiling and relinking the node application
has most likely solved the problem. It's been one day plus, and
no problems reported or noted.

Perhaps the original binary was no longer 'compatible' with existing
libraries on the host operating system (due to an update or upgrade).

Just to rule things out, the ax25 linux conf files will be reviewed with
a second set of eyes, but I'm pretty sure they will be fine.

Of course, but I don't think JNOS handled it very well, so that part I will
most definitely be 'fixing' and it needs to be logged so that someone will
notice. If it was not for the sysop contacting me, and me not seeing his
message for over a day, this could have gone for days.

This was actually 'fun', a very interesting exercise.
