Are there any humans beyound the "wire" or only bots?
Hi all!!! I'm Osvaldo from Barrio Garay, Almirante Brown, Buenos Aires,
Argentina, South America. You can see my location at aprs.fi and typing
LW1DSE in the calsign box, although I'm not a true APRS station.
I'm ham radio since September 1987 when I got the LW1DSE callsign. Also I'm
DIY'er in audio and RF.
As you can see, in the box down, I have my radio equipments partially
powered from sunlight. 24 solar cells placed in the ceiling captures 10 Wpk
(some of 22V at 600mA e/a) and via a switching regulator designed of my own
charging a battery of 12V 180Ah, and from it, a Yaesu FT 7800 used for
fone, a FT2400H for packet, and the modem, also hombrewed arround AM7910
IC, and with a switching converter from +12V to ρ5V for this logic.
Also, the fridge works from this source with a Sikelan 12-24VDC compressor,
And, in each room of my house I have a 12V 11W Osram Neolux low power lamps
for interior illuminating.
Apart from it, 4 antennas (aerials) there are outside my house, both of them
also home made in 3/8" copper tubing. A 2mts collinear antenna for packet,
and finally a 2mts slot skeleton antenna for fone. For the 10mts band,
there are a 300κ folded dipole horizontally polarized and a vertical made
also with copper tubbing, using the roof itself as ground plane.
The station completes with 3 AMD 486DX4 using UMC chipset, at 120MHz CPU
clock, and running the above mentioned DOS7.10 One of them acts like a MP3
server where 3 HD of 80GB capacity are containing actually more then 1800
hours of electronic music like Tiesto, van Buuren, Hernan Cattaneo, Sasha,
Moby, John Digweed etc. A 2nd PC is then dedicated to maintain pkt station
TSTHost 1.43C, and the third is a MP3 player running MPXPLAY from PDSoft,
and via a LAN using NeOS and 75κ coax wire.
Actually I am not DX'ing although I have a Yaesu FT767GX and a Yaesu FT75B
hardly modified.
And also I made a regenerative AM receiver consisting of 3 tubes: 6X4 as
rectifier, ECF801 as RF amplifier (Pentode) and regenerative detector
(Triode), and ECL85 as audio preamplifier and power output stage, driving
an ultralinear OT. The set is made in a brass chassis, and 3 PCB's
containing the rectifier and filter, the receiver itself and a line filter
to block some EMI from line. I have the circuit in a pretty plain TXT file,
and sometimes I send it by this medium. Variable condensers are also brass
made, and has no cabinet to see the heaters light in the night. The file is
in spanish, and contains all calculae data and comments to all who want to
build it some different way.
I am 55 years old, and graduated Electronic Enginner from UTN (Universidad
Tecnologica Nacional) in 1999. I like electronic music, and enjoy Spanish
singers and song writers Joaqu΅n Sabina, Joan Manuel Serrat, Ana Bel‚n and
V΅ctor Manuel, several time I saw them in a theatre or stadium. Also like
folkloric music from my country.
Whats-app plus54/911/3016/4860.
Sorry if my English isn't so good.
Best regards.
